An old woman in Wales has at' tamed the age of 100 years and some person acquainted the Princess of Wales of the fact and sent her a photograph. The Secretary of the Princess of Wales, wrote to the correspondent and said — I am desired by her royal highness to thank you for drawing her atten tion to the extraordinary age of this old lady and for sending her likeness. Her royal highness is much interested to hear of this very old subject of her Majesty the Queen, and wishes to make her a little present of 106 shillings, one for each birthday she has passed, and will be much obliged to your to expend it in the way you think most advisable for her comfort and pleasure. A cheque for £5 6s is herewith enclosed.

The London correspondent of the lr ish Times says : — The vague rumours of the past few weeks that that the Healyite section of the AntiParnellites are about to add another to the National daily news* papers of Dublin have now taken definite shape. I have heard that a distinguished and wealthy member of the Radical party, who in political circles is freely said to be MrLabouchere, has advanced the capital. The paper will be published in the offices of Irish Catholic. It is intended to make it an essentially militant journal.
