The afternoon commenced with a discussion on the Labour Journal, -which ended in nothing excepting the fact that the Hon. W. P. Reeves admitted he was responsible for everything published by the Labour Journal.

The Prescription • Law (Light) Amendment Bill (the title of which has been altered to Light and Air Bill), Lunatics Act Amendment Bill, and Taonui Branch Railway Bill, passed their final stages. The Auctioneers Bill was considered in Committee and reported.

The proposed new Standing Orders were further considered.

The House rose at 2.40 a.m
