Parliamentary Items.
We are glad to record the return of the Colonial Secretary, Sir Patrick Buckley, to his duties in the Council.
* *■ * Wo are glad to learn that lawn tennis was not the reason for Messrs Wilson and Pirani's absence from a division the other night. We learn that it took place, the division, not the game which is not yet arranged for, at half past twelve in the morning and there was no moon. The explanation seems, therefore, reasonable enough.
There must have been some error made in the position of tbe electric light at the Parliamentary buildings if it is not available for tennis, as M> Pirani used to, before he got eleoted, hint that that was all the majority, of members thought or oared about. The matter may yet be attended to as the sittings of the House grow more dreary.
