The Audit of Companies' Accounts Bill was discussed and read a second time. The House adjourned at 10.50 p.m. •• •' ■ - Wednesday, July 4. The Speaker took the chair at 2.80 p.m. The following Bills were read a first time : — Municipal Corporations Bill, Railways Bill, and Distress for J6eji't Abolition Bill; Public Trust Amendment Bill, Inanghua County Council Empowering Bill. -The second reading of the Abatoirs and Slaughterhouses Bill was read a second time and referred to a Select Committee. Major Harris moved, "That in the opinion of this House the sale of 1 • foeer, wine and spirituous liquors should be discontinued at'Bellamy's." . After a long discussion the motion was carried by 27 votes to 24.
