Horse Shoe Drainage Board.
A meeting of the above board was held in the Temperance Hall, Camp- 1 belltown, on Tuesday afternoon, when there, were present :— Messrs T. P. Clark, (chairman), H Sanson, | W. Davie, and F. Robinson. The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed, the area of the board's district was discussed and approximately fixed, and sections comprising the district were classified as first, second, and third class land, and will be rated accordingly. The classification when fully completed will be published. It was then resolved " That the action of the chairman in regard to Lean's drain, and the appointment of an inspector, be approved. " That the Board apply to the Bank of New Zealand for an overdraft sufficient to pay for contracts let, on the security of the rates levied in the district, under terras of section 38, of the Land Drainage S Act of 1893." • " That the Milner's line drain, and the southern branch of main drain, on the eastern side of Bank's Line to be taken over by the Board, and that the committee take steps to have them cleaned."
