■- ♦■ • ■ .In the Penal Coda in Germany the^e is ah extraordinary sentence. It has just been passed by the judge of the Breslau Criminal Court upon a man named Rosier. It appears that Rosier, his wife, and his aged mother were indicted for administering poison to and afterwards srangling a widow, aged 77, who was dependent on him. l:6sler was sentenced " to death and to 10 years' imprisonment," and his wife to six years' incarceration for aiding and abetting him. His aged mother was acquitted,
