The Southern Shearers' Strike.
A case of some importance mtfl decided by the Stipendiary Magistrate at Oamaru on Tuesday. Some time ago 28 shearers at Benmore struck work on the ground that the sheep were wet, and left the station after demanding their money, 'this was refused, and the men brought a' test case into Court, pleading that a clause in the agreement signed 6jli them appointing the manager sole' judge as to the condition of the" sheep was arbitrary, that the sheep*' were wet, and that they had been' discharged.
