London. Lord Ripon has received confirmatory reports regarding the Fiench attack on the British frontier police in Sierra Leone, but no details of the affair are given. The Colonial Office is not certain as to the position of the frontier.. The French have seized the town of Cavally, on the coast of Guinea, West Africa, and the people of Liberia, the well-known Negro-re-public, are iucensed at the step. The unemployed agitators in London declare that pocket explosives will be used if the police maltreat the men.
