Abrahatr *>.nd Wi'liams report :- On Friday we hald a clearing sale at tb<farm o[ Mr Hitchiugs, Longburn, when we offered his stock and implements without reserve. A general clearance was effected at prices better than ruling rates. Twotooth ewes made 10s, fat ewes 7s 8d ; unculled lambs, somewhat small, 4s, in their wool ; breeding ewes, 7s 8d ; milkers anr springing heifers, £6 12s 6d to £7 7s 6d • draught horses. £1G to £25 10s ; hacks, £f to £8 5s ; and a whole list of manhinevv <t r c, at fair values. At Levin, on Wednesday, cattle were in short supply, but sheer plentiful. The demand for* cattle wn r limited. For sheep bidding was practical confined to young sorts. At Palmerston rattle came forward in moderate number 0 , sheep fairly numerous. The bulk of thf cattle sod : rates somewhat easier. Shee' were steady throughout, but prices gen? ra'lv in favour of the buyer : the great 01 nortion of the entry chauged hands.
