Abraham & Williams' Stock Report.
At Palmerston we had a full muster of cattle. Beef was dull of sale, a portion only changed hands. Sheep came forward in moderate supply. There was an active inquiry for young sheep and suitable wethers, others dull of entry, however, was disposed of. Cattle Medium fat bullocks, £6 ss, cows £4 18s 6d to £5, 2 to 2* year old steers £4 to £4 7s 6d ; 18 month do, £3 2s 6d to £8 7s ; 8-year old steers, £4 103 ; cows in calf, £4 to £4 10s ; weaners, 80s. Sheep — Ewes and lambs, all counted, 5s to 5s 9d ; ewes, mixed ages, 8s 6d ; 2-tooth wethers, 9s ; 2- tooths, mixed 8s 4d to 8s 7d ; 4tooth wethers, 9s 9d.
