Handicap Hurdles, If milesUnity, 9st 81b, 1. Caloola also started, but at the second hurdle never rose and fell over breaking his neck. Watson, the jockey, fell under the horse and was severely stunned. Jrle was at once attended to by Dr. Bennett, and carried to the weighing room.

Shorts Handicap, 5 furlongs — Prioress nnd Kins Harry ran a dead heat. Prioress £1 G.s, King Harry £1 19s. In the run off King Harry secured a victory, paying a dividend of i-2 19s.
