The Premier.
A few weeks ago a requsition was sent to the Premier asking him to deliver an address in this town. Yesterday Mr T. P. Williams re-
ceived the following reply : — Premier's Office, Wellington, 4th December* 1893. GkNvt,i. r AtKN, —Allow me to express my regret that, owing to prolonged absence from Wellington, Visiting other parts of the colony; your requisition only reached me this niorn 1 ing. I will; however; take; an early opportunity o.F payirig an oMcial visit to Fokton, and will have much pleasure in delivering an address. — I am, Gentlemen, Yours faithfully, I\. 3: Sfetmort.
