In the first place my paper never announced that the whole Prohibition Party supported me. . We merely recorded the fact that at three specially convened meetings the League almost unanimously endorsed my election—proof enough surely. As to my views on the Licensing question, they are the same as I have always advocated and unlike some others I could mention, I do not stop short at advocacy. In regard to the remarks of the ohairraan of the Direct Veto meeting* you oonveuiently forgot to Soint out that he is brother of the oandU ate^a relationship that seems to prevent you taking his statements with tne proverbjal^rajn^of Jjalt. What made me indifferent as to the result of the meeting was that the r<36m was engaged by Mr J. P.
