Ifc is reported that J Spencer Balfour, who absconded from England, lias engaged a hundred men in the Argentine Republic as a body guard to prevent his being captured and removed to London. Mr C. B. Harness, President of the Medical Batteiy Company, which was recently characterised as " a fraud and quackery " by the Pall Mull Gazptle, has begun an action for libel against that newspaper.
