The amendments made by the Legislate e Council in th« Cheviot Estate Disposition Bill were agreed to. The Public Revenue Bill, after n discussion was read a third time.
The Land and Income Assessment Act Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. The estimates were further considered. The House sat all Wednesday night the Premier forcing the esti mates through in ppito of protests. At 5.25 p.m. on Thursday the estimates were passed. On the House resuming at 7.30 p.m , The Tairua Land Bill was read a second time, and was then referred to the Waste Lands Committee. Native Land Validation of Titles Bill was considered in committeee. The measure was then put through final stages. Native Land Court Certificates Confirmation Bill passed its committee stage without amendment, and was then read the third time and passed. The Conspiracy Law Amendment Bill passed through committee with amendments, and was then put through final stages. Halswell River Drainage District Bill was put through committee, and afterwards read the third time and passed. District Courts Jurisdiction Extension Bill was put through final stages. The second reading of the Mining Act Amendment Bill (No 2) was carried on the voices, and the Bill was referred to the Goldfields Committee. The Civil Service Insurance Bill was then put through final stages. The Timber Floating Act Amendment Bill was agreed to on the voices, then read a third time and passed. The second reading of the Trustees Act Amendment Bill was carried on the voices, and the Bill was then put through final stages. The House rose at 10.30 p.m.
