SUPREME COUBT.— CRIMINAL SITTINGS. Wednksiuy, August, 30. (Before His Honor the Chief Justice.) Robert Johns was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment with hard labour. Bernard Han sen was charged with indecent assault. The Crown Prosecutor (Mr Gully; stated that he had decided not to go on with the charge. His Honor directed the jury to acquit accused. Andrew Thompson, alias Kirk, was found not guilty. Accnsed was discharged. Win. Mudgeway was charged with hnvirg assaulted Louisa Hollis on tin.' Hih June, by cutting her head with a gin bottle, was found guilty. His Honor sentenced prisoner to nine months' imprisonment with hard labour. William Clements and William Potter were charged with breaking and entering the White Horse Hotel Ngahauranga, and found guilty. Potter was sentenced to three years with hard labour on each charge ; Clements to 12 months on each charge.
