English Strikes.
A band of 4000 strikers attempted to terrorise the men at work at Swansea. During the scuffle that ensued one of the workmen was killed by the assailants.
The Northumberland miners have refused to grant financial assistance to the miners on strike.
The miners on strike in Holbrook, Derbyshire, overpowered the police, and brutally ill-treaced the workers.
The police are besieged while awaiting reinforcements.
