The government is monarchical, and the present King rejoices in the names of Phrabat Somdet Phra, Earamindr Maha Chulatonkbrn Chula Chom Klao Phra Chow Yuhua, ' The capital Bangkok, hag a" population of 600,000. The army only- musters some 8000 men, and the navy is represented by a few small gunboats.
