Gorton & Sox's Stock Report. We had large entries at oar sale |at Awahuri. Many more than were advertised, only 80 head of cattle were advertised and 275 head were yarded. The sale was not brisk, and we had to turn out several lots udsold, mainly owing however to high reserves. Our quotations for those sold are:— Cattle— 2-yer steers, £4 ss ; wean* ers and yearlings mixed, 89s ; 18---months steers, £2 155. Sheep— 2 to 8-tooth Lincoln ewes in lamb, 13s 6d ; empty ewes, 7s ; hoggets, 6s 9d ; a good line of fat wethers were passed in at 14s.
