I w Thursday was a sort of Red-Letter ! day in the annals of the local Good Templar Lodge. Rush was welcomed very [ heartily by the Lodge, and iminet diately proceeded "to confer the D.L. 3 Degree on 13 members who had " qualified themselves for this advancement in the Order. After the ceremony, which was gone through in a very impressive manner, the District Deputy advised with the Lodge on several knotty-points of 'procedure submitted for his opinion, and proved . himself to be, as in truth* he is, quite , a model D.D. showing -not only a t thorough knowledge of details, but t also great tact and discrimination, j In the course of the evening Mi Rush Was pleased to express a very c favourable opinion of the working I and methods of the Try Again Lodge. At the close of the proceedr ings a most cordial vote of thanks was passed by acclamation to the i worthy D.D. for his useful and t courteous visit, to which he re- . sponded in complimentary terms, A tea and coffee supper formed a noi . unpleasing feature of the evening.
