The New Ministry.
# — ~_ _ In response to His Excellency's message, the Hon R; J. Seddon waited upon Lord Glasgow and Monday afternoon, and was requested to consult his colleagues and submit ' to him subsequently the name of some person to form a Ministry. In consequence, Mr Seddon, after consultation with his brother Ministers, again attended at Government House, and informed His Excellency that he was himself prepared to on, struct an Administration, and thereupon submitted the following list of names and portfolios : — The Hon E. J. Seddon to be Premier, Minister of Public Works, Minister of Mines and Minister of Defence. The Hox Sir P. A. Buckley, K.C.M.G., to be Attorney. General, Colonial Secretary and Minister of Marine. The Hon W. P. Reeves to be Minister of Education, Commissioner of Stamp Duties' and Minister of Labour. The Hon J. McKenzie to be Minister of Lands and Immigration, Minister of Agriculture and Commissioner of Forests. The Hon J. G. Ward to be Colonial Treasurer, Postmaster-General, Electric Telegraph Commissioner and Commissioner of Customs. The Hon A. J. Cadman to be Minister ot Justice. The Hon J. Caruol (without port folio) representing the Native race. The N.Z. Times says: — We have authority for stating that Mr Seddon after fully considering the situation with his colleagues, has undertaken to carry on the administration on similar lines of policy to those followed by the Ballanee Ministry until the meeting of the Liberal Party at the opening of the session, when the party will be asked to determine as to whether the present arrangement shall further continue. ____________
