Anti-Home Rule Meeting.
The I3uke of Abei'tiorn presided over the anti-Home Rule meeting at the Albert Hall. He said the Bill would establish a bad supremacy, compared with which servitude would be good: The attendance at the Albert Hall meeting numbered i 1,(300. immense enthusiasm w"as slioWri liy the audieiice, who cheered the Union Jack, sang patriotic songs, groaned at the mention of Mr Gladstone's name, and cheered Mr Balfour. The iJisliop oL Berry moved a resolUtiott 'declaring that the establishment of a separate Parliament and Executive for Ireland would destroy civil and religious liberty, unaettle commerce, disturb industries, and weaken British influence throughout the world. The resolution was carried amid a scene of great enthusiasm; The meeting repeated tile following Words after the Duke of Abercorn : — • We will never have Home Rule. 1
