It is with much regret that we record the death of Miss Pha>be Leary, daughter of Mr J. P. Leary of Palmerston. She had been a sufferer for a long time and some months ago had undergone a serious operation, this not having secured relief she was taken to the Wellington hospital last week where another operation was performed on Tuesday and she sank under it and died on Friday afternoon; The funeral took place at Palnierston on Sunday morning ami was very largely attended.
