Monday's Races.

The autumn meeting of the Foxton Racing Club will be held on Monday. The weather at present holds out hopes of a beautiful day. Every care has been paid by the honorary secretary to make the meeting a success, and there is every reason to expect it will be. The course has been mown, and it has also beefl fenced in ; the saddling paddock .has been very much enlarged ; other conveniences have been added. Tha Foxton Brass - band bas been engaged and as they are now in good practice they will do much towards enlivening the day. Messrs Hill and Poole will attend to

that attention and expedition will - be paid to the investing public Messrs Cawston and Border have publican's booths so that thirsty visitors will be refreshed on the best vof liquors. Mr Cawston has also the luncheon department urder his care ' Bnd will provide one better than ere se'eVbefoife. It will be ai surprise. The cards are all ready and in fact the energy of Mr McMillan has secured everything being up to time. We. hope a good day will be the result of his exertions.
