The model wilt be thirty-two feet long, twentyeight feet wide and eighteen feet high. One of the great spouting caldrons of steam will be represented by real rock and imitation in staff, while a background will be painted to represent the most picturesque view of the canon, from which scores of geysers arise. Artificial lights in various colors will reproduce the peculiar play of color seen in the gorge. The semblance of the hot springs is to be made by use of steam pipes. In the foreground -will be placed a huge allegorical figure of "The Demon of the Geysers," modeled by Rupert Schmid. The; Michigan World's Fair Board willl make an exhibition of its news-papers.-The first page of every newspaper or magazine published in the state will be mounted on a wood veneer leaf, varnished the same as mounted maps are prepared, and hung on leaf standards. The winning exhibitors at the World's Fair will each receive a ■bronze medal and a handsome diploma, setting forth the specific purpose for which the medal was awarded. Provision will be, made, it is, expected, for 75,000 medals and ' diplomas.
