The University Boat-race.
Oxford won the University boat' race. Cambridge led by half It length to Hammersmith Bridge, when Oxford took a slight lead. The Cambridge men, however, were again on terms as the mills were passed, but could not maintain the effort, although at times they made desperate spurts. Oxford won by a length. The weather was favourab'e for the contest.
