The concert was held in the large room recently erected by Mr Gardner, and it was well filled by visitors. In the first part Miss Gardner played the overture, and songs were given by the Misses Turner and Gardner, and Messrs D. Gardner, Orr, Harrj.
son, Skinner, Juppicich, H. Beau^ champ and Thomas. Mr Gardner gave a reading. A farce was performed by Messrs D. Gardner and J. Sutherland and caused much amusement. In the second part songs were given by Miss Gardner, and Messrs 0. Gardner, Seymour, Harrison, Beauchamp, Nelson, Skinner, Edgar, McMillan, Colquit and Stevens. All the performers were heartily applauded and many encored, and a very pleasant gathering was brought to a close by a light repast liberally supplied by Mr and Mrs Gardner to all the visitors. We are glad to report that the result of these efforts was the obtaining of £3 15s for the sufferers.
