« GOKTON & SON'S STOCK REPORT. We held three stock sales last week at Marton, Sanson and Hunterville. Very large entries of sheep came forward at all the sales— nearly double the number advertised for Hunterville. The attendance was not so large as usual at Sanson on account of a sale of stock being held at Palmerston on the same day. Borne of the sales were bvisk except for oattle, and we managed to quit a great many sheep, under the hammer and after. Our quotations are :— Cattle. Marton. heifers, £4 4s 6d ; 18 months steers, £8 Is milkers, £i. Sanson -fat cows, £4 12s Gd ; 18 month steers, £3 5s ; for steers, £2 11s to £2 12s 6d ; weaners, 27s to 87s. Hunterville. — bullocks, £4 ; mixed yearlings, £2 2s 6d to £2 158 18-month steers, £3 4s ; 2-year heifers, £8 2s 6d ; 2 year steers, £8 12s 6d ; mixed weaners, £1 10s. Sheep. Marton — breeding ewes, 8s 8d ; mixed sheep, 9s Gd ; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 10s Gd. Sanson. — 2- tootn wethers, 93 9d to 11s 6d; fat and forward sheep, 9s ; f.m. ewes, ; woolly lambs, os to 7s 3d : shorn ■* lambs, 5s to 6s. Hunterville— breeding ewes, os 4d to Qs Id ; fat wethers, lls 9d ; shorn lambs, 8s 2d to 4s 7d,
