I It has transpired that the Bank of Rome spent £90,000 in bribing members of the Chamber of Deputies in order to obtain the extension of the privileges of the institution. It U alleged that the Marquis di Budini and Signor Crispi are involved in the frauds. The Banea Associations, of Flor encft, has failed, the liabilities amounting to two million lire. The manager and fiashior of the institution have been arrested for fraud. ALssi en-Lorraine is demanding to be included among the Gorman Slates, and its delegates in Berlin assert that its protests against German rule are at an end, and that the people desire peaco and are willing to co-operate with the other States for the advancement of the Empire.
