Young Sharpshin : This paper mentions the "Spirit of the Times," dad. What does -ft* mean? -Old Sharpshins : Well, my dear, that •will depend whether it is spelt with a capital or a small " t." The Spirit of the Times is sycophancy, but the spirit of the times is most decidedly Scotoh whisky.
