Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, Sandon Handicap, Flying Stakes Handicap, and Tramway Handicap close with the Secretary, at the Junction Hotel, Sanson, on SATURDAY, 25th February, 1898, at 9 p.m. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary,. Sandon ; entrance money, enclosed, with the name, age at time af entry, pedigree, and, in the eases of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the I owner, and colours of the rider. 3. All races to be run under the I Rules of Racing a3 adopted by the Metropolitan Club in yewv ew Zealand. 4. A "hack" means a horse that has never won an advertised race, or is nominated for any race at the time of start, or for six months previous thereto, hack and hunters oxcepted. 5.
