Palmerston District Hosptail Board.
The usual monthly meeting of the above was held on Thursday last. Present — Messrs G. M. Snelson (chairman), Park, Taylor, Lethbridge, Ransome and Goodbehere. Correspondence was read as follows : — From Poh angina Road Board and Kiwitea Road Board, forwarding cheques fqr the amount due to the Board for -the current year. From Mr D. Goodbehere, forwarding a cheque for £170, being the amount realised by the Fei'ding ladjes subscriptions, sale of work, etc., and stating there was still a small balance to be forwarded after the accounts had been settled. The same gentleman forwarded a cheque for £5 Bs being the amount collected by Mr S. Williamson.. From Feilding Borough Council, applying for refund of £45 Is 9d, expended in charitable aid for the four months ending 31st December, 1892. The statement furnished reads as follows: — Medical attendance, £9 18s ; board and expenses, £1 17 a; rations supplied, £31 Os 3d : medicine, £2 6d 6d. The writer stated that in addition for the above, there was about £10 dua for accounts which were not to hand. In reference to the sum re* ceived from the Feilding ladies, Mr Goodbehero stated that there was about £10 in hand which would be forwarded as soon as the outstanding accounts were settled, He placed before the Board the statements of receipts and expediture. Mr Park moved that the thanks of the Board be forwarded to the Feilding Ladies' Bazaar Committee for their handsome donation of £170. Seconded by Mr Ransome and carried. , On the motion of Mr Goodbehere a vp.te of thanks was passed to Mr S. Williamson for. his kindness in collecting £5 8s towards the funds of the Hospital. Mr Goodbehere produced a statement showing, that the estate of the late Mr F. J. Lee was in debt to the amount of £1 7s Bd, consequently there would be nothing coming to the Board from the estate. On the motion of Mr Lethbridge the sum of £400 received as contributions from the various local bodies, was allocated to the Hospital account. Mr Taylor moved, r J hat all members and Boards be informed that charitable aid patients can be boarded in Palmerston for 10s per week, and in cases where more is being paid such patients be sent to Palmerston.
