To start at 12.40. 8. Tkial Hurdles, of 20 soys ; second horse to receive 5 soys from the stakes ; distance, 1 mile and a distance ; weight not less than 10 stone ;.. for horses that have never won any hurdle race ; entrance, 20s ; post entry. To start at 1.40 p.m. 4. Sandon Handicap, of 70 soys ; second horse to receive 10 soys from the stakes ; distance, If miles ; nomination, 20s ; acceptance, 40s. To start at 2.45 p.m. 5. Maiden Race, of 25 soys ; second horse to receive 5 soys from the stakes ; distance, 1^- miles ; for hoises that have never won an ' advertised race; entrance, 20s. To start at 3.80 pmi. 6. Tramway Handicap, of 25 soys ; second horse to receive 5 soys from the stakes ; distance, 1 mile ; Nomination, 10s ; acceptance, 10s. To start at 4.80 p.m. 7. Forced Ha^icap, of 20 soys; second horse to receive 5 soys from the stakes ; entrance, winners, 15s ; losers, ss. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, Sandon Handicap, Flying Stakes Handicap, and Tramway Handicap close with the Secretary, at the Junction Hotsl, Sanson, on SATURDAY, 25th February, 1893, at 9 p.m. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Sandon ; entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time af entry, pedigree, and, in the cases of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. 3 All races to be run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Metropolitan Club in New Zealand. 4. A " hack " meaus a horse that has never won an advertised race, or is nominated f.»r any race at the time of start, or for six months previous thereto, hack and hunters exceptedi 5.
