Foxton Racing Club.
A meeting of the Committee of the Foxfcon Racing Club was held at Whyte's Hotel on Thursday evening Present — Messrs W. G. Robinson, E. S. Thynne, J. H. Robinson, W. H. Rhodes, J. R. Stansell and J. R. McMillan (hnn. sec.) The Secretary reported that cheques had been sent to all owner'fe for the stakes won by their horses at the Anniversary Meeting. A number of accounts were passed for payment, and those not in, but due, were authorised for payment on the Secretary being satisfied as to their correctness. Tha Secretary stated that the accounts were roughly as tollows, but that the items might 1)3 slightly diff rent when all amounts were collected and paid : — The total re ceipt* were £732, which included a credit balance of £77. The total exp n*es paid wer? £387. There were amounts t-> c llect of £25 and items to pa<s of £74. When all miters were squared up the meetinsr would show a profit f close on £220 and there would be a credit of £250 at the Bank after settling the Secretary's honorarium and the handi capper. This is a most excellent result and the committee wtre naturally very pleaded. The meeting passed the usual honorarium to the Secretary and added a recommendation to the general meeting that an additional five guineas be passed. As this lies entirely in the power of the general meeting the committee could do no more. It was considered advisable to hold another Hack Meeting in the a-itumn and a m°etinw of the committee was fixed foe Wednesday evening and the Secretary was requested to draft a programme, which, should the committee decide on a m a etin£, could be then considered right off, so that it might be laid b-'fore the Metropolitan Club's meeting on Friday.
