1.0.G.T.
In response to the notification in our columns there was a large attendance at tho last session of the Good 'Templar Lodge. After the transaction of the ordinary routine business and the initiation of three new members several matters of importance were discussed and carefully considered. Owing to the marvellous growth of the lodge it is found that the Masonic Hall is Jtoo small for the proper accommodation of all the members; and the approach of summer combined with the inadequate ventilation is a heavy handicap on large attendances. The propriety of making some change was impressed on the executive committee. In the meantime the P.O.T. was instructed to communicate with the Public Trustee on the subject, and correspondence is now going on with him as well as with the lessees of the Temperance Hall. It is gratifying to know that this lodge continues to exhibit such vigorous life, and that it realizes the importance of its work. Unmistakably it has made its mark in Foxton during the present year.
