A CORRECTION.
TO THE EDITOR OF THH MAXAWATD HERALD. Sir, — In your issue of Thursday, October 20th, you give the total scores of a match played between Sanson and Carnarvon. Now, sir, no such match was played on the date mentioned. On the preceding Saturday « arnarvon defeated Sanson, and at the conclusion of the match a game was arranged between Sanson and Campbelltown for the following Saturday. This event came off, and Campbelltown was defeated by four runs. Sanson, however, published the full scores in the Eangitikei Advocate and Mercury, and in their reports substituted Carnarvon for Campbelltown, thinking, no doubt, much more honor attached to defeating a Carnarvon than a Campbelltown eleven. Thanking you for making the correction. —I am, &c, C. H. Bowater. Campbelltown, 26th Oct., 1892.
