Rowing.
Notes by " Kowhat."
The competitors for Hunter's Cup have not been taking as much interest in the affair as I could wish judging from the small amount of training done.
Late last week I noticed both Shadbolts out for a spin and am inclined to think the younger will make a good man if coached up a little more. A. Shadbolt is also going very well. Ho wan has been having some practice and should give a good account of himself. Bobertson has been doing some good work and will prove a very tough man, he is a little wide in his steering but will improve a good deal before the eventful day. Cowies has been taking steady pulls and should improve if he keeps it up. Some others have been out but escaped any notice. As the acceptances dp not close until to-morrow night I will reserve my tips until next issue.
