Persecution in Russia.
Three Stundist (Protestant) pveaobei'fl have just been tried in Kischeneff, Russia, charged with disseminating the tenets of their faith. The hearing took place with closed doors Two of the offenders were sentenoed to banishment to the Prussian frontier, with the loss of all civil rights and privileges ; the other to eight months in gaol. "What will Dr Talmage, the American pastor who has been writing in praise of the piety of the Czar, say to this instance ot his piety.
