That tall and powerful man who the other day took the trouble to call, at a police-constable's quarters in the Wairarapa and challenge him to fight, which resulted in his getting seven months imprisonment, should have studied Hansard and have noted Mr Speaker's ruling on disorderly behaviour, viz , that honorable gentleman can show his dissent from remarks which are being made without using words which are objectionable.
Some unfortunate correspondent of the N.Z. Times has asserted " that 100 persons or more oould be found who on trial would prove vastly superior to any Governor which this Colony has had imposed on it " and then refers to the speeches of " Ballanoe, Saunders, J. McKenzie, Reeves, Pin ker ton and Seddon, and other Liberal Govern* ment supporters, ,f as bound to suggest the same conclusion ! What next ?
