*- More troops have been ordered to proceed to Buffalo, and the country is patrolled for 25 miles. The militia in New York have been ordered to he in readiness to proceed to the scene of the dis« turbance.

The Governor of Tennessee has called out 18,000 troops
.At Court Creek a body of 6000 miners drove the troops back six miles, capturing 50 of their number, whom they hold as hostages.
The Lake shore switchmen have joined the strikers * Many attempts have' heen made in Buffalo to derail trains conveying troops to the disturbed districts. A regiment of artillery is proceeding to Court Creek to suppress the ? riot.
Nashville and the' -adjacent counties have each been ordered to furnish a thousand armed citizens to assist in maintaining' order. The miners of Coal Creek, Chatanooga, thrice attacked the militia, who opehed fire with Gatling guns, killing many.
It is rumoured that tha miners have captured a colonel, and threaten to lynch him. T General Carnes states that the peophrof Memphis, Tennessee, are prepared to wade in blood, in the event of it being necessary, to suppress the strike. ■ •

By pretending to arrange for- a truce the miners decoyed the colonel in command of a regiment into their hands, and the surrender of the troops was demanded. He refused to give the necessary order, and was lynched.
