A Good Swimmer.
- ' ♦ Dr JBarnardo relates the following ing in Night and Day : — Strange to say, some of my very best swimmers are cripples. I have at Stepney a boy who has no ley* at all, both having been amputated at the hip joint, and this youngster swims like a porpoise. It is a remarkable sight to see him cleaving his rapid course , through the water, propelled simply by his arms alone. George, however, k very strong., The muslces of his arms and back seem '• as iron bands," and there are not very many of his companions who can cope with him either in agility or in endurance.
