Fatal Accident.
The Oroua Bridge correspondent of the Manawatn Tim'B writes:— A sad accident happened her on Minday by which a Native named Warena te Ra lost his life. The deceased was coming from Mr W. K. Simpson's, where ho went to borrow a wire strainer. When about si* chains from Mr Simpson's house, Mr Meldon, who was walking up the railway line, saw his horse bucking, and it threw the rider off. He called to Me 3rs Richard and Head to come, saying that Warena was thrown Erora his horse. When they got to the place Warena was about six feet from the road. Meldon asked Warena was he hurt,
Rnd he answered "Very much hurt." Meldon lifted him up, and sent for Mr Simpson, who came and, with his wife, did al' that was possible to briug him round, but he died in about half-anhour. Ho was a single man and about 3G years old.
