Easter Monday Sports.

It has been determined that those who do not shoot, shall have a good day's sport on Monday. On the racecourse a long and capital programme will be got off, of all kinds of athletic competitions, and good racing may be looked for. In the races requiring earlier nomination, a nuinbar, as already published, have entered, and it is certain that for those events for which entries can be made on the grouud. a large number will be secured, The Committee have secured the use of the racecourse, so that a clear track will be kept and everyone will be able to view the contests from the grand stand- Host Cawston has secured the publican's booth, ,at which allkinds of refreshments will be obtainable, whilst Mr Walls has the refreshment booth under the grand stand. The Foxton Brass Band will play an excellent selection of music. Correct cards have been printed, which will be sold cheap, giving the fullest particulars with the colours of the contestants. There has been no athletic gathering 'in Poxton of such a character previously, and it is hoped that should the meeting be the succes it is looked for, a more permanent character may be given to the event, and that it may become an annual affair.
