♦— A thorough weeding of the garden should now be undertaken ; it will be found to save much labour later o i. Onions should be pulled and allowed to remain on the ground for a few days, occasionally turning them over in order that they may become ripe andhard. Herbs Should be gathered, Where not already done, carefully dried and then bagged. Thin out Endive so as to leave each plant plenty of room for development.
