The class of sheep were very rough, being mostly the culls ot ail the flocks in the neighbourhood, vendors however recognised this in there reserves, and thus obfcaitied a sales There is an undoubted fall in the value of sheep, brought about by the dry season we are experiencing, and the fact that the prices for frozen mutton will .not allow buyers to give the prices they have been giving. The most ragged lots cariously realised, in proportion by far the b?st prices, 'the folldwing are some of the prices given ; —Very old ewes 2s 6d, 8s 6d. ss, to 6s 9d ; from 2 tooth to full mouth ewes 9s to 9s 4d ; pen of wethers nearly fat, 11s 6d ; store wethers, 10$ ; one small lot of wethers made 1 Is ; one pen of fat ewes, 9s ; lambs in wool, some very small, 4s 9d, to 4s 1 d , some fair woolly lambs made 5s lOd to 6s 6d ; over 400 lambs in wo 1 brought 7s Id ; a pen ot mixed 2 tooth and lambs very irregular were in demand and made 6s Bd.
