The True Protection.
Nowadayt the fiscal policy is alwayg a nrominent plank in the platform of every politician, yet is it a wise policy on the part of the consnmers to place a tax on » he articles which' they do not make but on'y consume ? Suppose, for instance, the customs duty is 33 per cent, on imported soods, the waees of the laboret in all grades of emnloynen* in a country thus orotected, should be 33 per cent, higher *hnn in a frpe^rade country, to make 'hings pqtial — hut, is it ever the case? Trne projection, like charity, begins at Some, and in these days when the air is laden with microbes, bacteria and other germs of disease, it behoves us all to be on onr guard against the common enemy ; old age kills but few, disease slaya its thousands and mil ions, and all because mankind is so apathetic and careless about first signs of approaching sickness. Neuralgia is one of the most positive signs of t.he approach of some physioal affliction, and requires immediate attention, before \*; h»s progresped beyond human aid Bnd fatal disnnse his eot hold of some vital organ. S C. Eeilly, E?q.. writes, under *ate Jwne Ist, 1891, from Garner's Avenue, MarrickviMe, M.S. W. : "I c»n with con. fHenee bear testimony to the wonderful cnraHve powers of. Clements Tonic. For years I have been periodically attacked tnd a great sufferer from neuralgia and general debility, and anyone who has ever been afflicted with such nervous misery can form an idea of what I have suffered. I had also chronic indigestion, General Jan. avid feelings and an utter dislike to exert myself. The npuralgia was so severe that I have paced the hall all night and the agony was so excruciating that £ was almost out of my mind. I tried all so-called remedies, also galvanic treatment, which did ho good. . At last a friend recommended Clements Tonic, and I was so miserable and disheartened that I pur* .chased a small bottle, and after the second dose felt great relief. I continued its use md am thankful to say that after twentyfour hours the pain had disappeared, and I was free from the nervous terror . I coninned Clements Tonic and have taken Four bottle? ; all my langour, is gone, am I free from indigestion, 1 can do a day's work with any man, and eat like a horse ; «nd have treat pleasure in recommending Clements Tonic to any one suffering from nervous omplaints. —Yours truly, S. C. Reilly."
