The True Protection.
Nowaday! the fiscal policy ii always a prominent plank in the platform of every , politician, yet is it a wise polioy on the part of the consumers to plaoe a tax on the articles which they do not make but only consume? Suppose, for instance, the customs duty is 83 per cent, on imported goods, the waged -of the laboret in all grade* of employment in a country thus protected, should be S3 per cent, higher than fin, a fi-eetrade country, to make things equal— but, ,i« it eyer the case? True protection, like charity, begins at home, and in these days when the air is * laden with miorobes, bacteria and other of disease, it behiv/ea us all to be on onr guard against the common enemy ; jAA age kills, bat few, disease slays its thousands and mil'ions, and all because mankind ii so apathetic and careless ahoat tirst signs of approaching sickness. Neuraigia.is one of the .most positive signs of the approaoh of some physical affliction, and requires immediate attention, before it has beyond human aid and fatal disease: has got hold of some vital organ.. S. C. Beilly, Esq., writes, under date June Ist, 1891, from Garner's Avenue, Marriokville, N.S.W. : "I c»n with cod. fidenctJ°bear testimony to the wonderful powers of Clements Tonic. I had also- obronio indigestion, general lan* quid feejingaj and an utter dislike to exert myself. The neuralgia was so severe that I have* -paced 'the hall all night and the agony was so exornciating that I was almost oat of my mind. I tried all so-called remedies, also galvanio treatment, which did no good. At last a friend recommended Clements Tonic, and I was so .miserable and disheartened that I purchased a small bottle, and after the second
dose felt great relief. I continued its use and am thankful to say that after twentyfour hoot* the pain had disappeared, and I was freo from ton oervoai terror. I oon« tinted Olemratft Tonio and have takes
