Frederick Bobinson appeared at the j Court this morning to receive sentence. ' The Probation Officer's report being favour- j able, the Justices placed the prisoner on probation for one month, conditionally that 'ne paid the costs of the prosecution, | amounting to SOs, within one Week. The Messrs Jack arrived in town on Thursday afternoon, and having obtained the ser ices of the Constable, they again visited their mill at Motoa. The hands were again ordered to leave, and to aid them on their way, the Messrs Jack gave them 10s each. Graham, who ha I returned, was also ordered to leave the promises within an hoiv, and he, with his family, left in the evening. Despite Graham's assertions on his return, it appears that he has no money to pay the contractors or the hands. Some people are never satisfied. Tho Russians appear to be amongst the number. Lately harrowing tales have been cabled of their sufferings from hunger, and now, because hi. De Gier, Kussian Foreign Minister, had a twenty minutes' interview with the Emperor, the Russian Government has ordered half a million pounds of soldier's biscuits to be ready by January.
