The results of the business for tho Fortyfirst Year, ending Slst December, 1889, may be summarised as under : — Fibst— The number of the New Policies issued was 11,664. Si'coxn — The new Assurance business effected was for -53,6*79,459. Thjivd — The New Annual Premium Income amounted to <£12_L,SOO. Fourth— The net increase to the business, after allowing for loss of income from terminated Policies, was represented by 7028 Policies, assuring _5_2,---109,159. Fifth — The operations of the year raised the annual income of the Societv from £1,512,280 to £1,625,---185, an increase in twelve months of -5112,905.
