Pleasant for Boston.
Black Ants threaten to take possession of Boston, and State street, the citadel of Ipsfcn'^ moneyed men , is literally swarming with them. On the street, on the sidewalks and crawling= up the sides of buildings i are the pest& Into buildings, too, - have they mftde their way, and very -•• troublesome nave they proved themselves. On Devonshire and Washington streets (says an exchange) not so many are id be seen, but at the rate at which they are, spreading it will be but:a few days bftfore they will bft fottflfa in fill parts 'cf the city, They wt towe fc ft %fofrm of 4
inch in length and many of tHeni have wings about half an inch long. Their bite is said to be much more painful than that of a mosquito. It is a mystery where they came from.
